About me
A writer, poet, and anthropologist, I love to introduce new players to the fantastical worlds I grew up in and love even more building new worlds with players of all experience levels (including no experience!) DMing is a passion of mine, something I am always striving to improve at: the physical world around me is littered with sourcebooks, notebooks, guides, print-outs, Post-Its, dice, half-painted miniatures, and other paraphernalia related to this incredible hobby. All of my games are LGBTQ+ friendly, and my tables are safe spaces where everyone is welcome, so long as they believe that everyone is welcome.
View Profile āCharacter creation
Creating your character
Character creation will be handled through the D&D Beyond website. Players can create their characters before Session 0 and have them ready or wait until Session 0 to create them. Any official content is allowed. Homebrew content beyond "flavor" changes (for instance, playing a homebrewed race that is mechanically identical but visually different to official content) must be approved by all players at the table. For players joining after Session 0, I will work with them over Discord to get their character created, catch them up to speed on the story, cover safety tools, discuss table rules and expectations, and hype them up for a fun night!
š Build your best warrior/scholar and join us! The best part is just ahead! šŖ Party members include a Hexblade Warlock/Totem Barbarian, an Order Cleric/Way of Mercy Monk, a Swarmkeeper Ranger/Hexblade Warlock, and an Oath of Ancients Paladin! We are currently at level 7!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need voice chat capabilities and internet access, along with both a free Discord account (https://discordapp.com) and a free D&D Beyond account (https://www.dndbeyond.com). Video chat is optional. A basic understanding of the rules and what your character will be able to do is recommended, though not necessary.
What Gerald brings to the table
I will be bringing a fun, exciting night of gaming to you, every other Friday, full of thrills, chills, and quite possibly spills. Additionally, I bring with me a gaming community full of great weirdos. My Discord channel is full of fun people who love gaming in all its forms and fun conversations take place daily. We also run Community Events every month to bring new experiences to the table!

How Gerald creates a safe table
Players can expect fast-paced combat and tense dialogue scenes. Combat scenes will have the potential for non-combat resolutions. Not all of the content warning tags will necessarily be part of the campaign; however, the potential for a D&D game to explore subject matter beyond what is written in the module itself is extremely high and it is important to know this going in. It is our every intention to make a fun, safe place for players to enjoy themselves.
