It sucks to only be able to pick 3 tags, because he also does fun voices, allows for creativity, builds a massive world, and tells a great story. I chose good for beginners specifically though because I'm a new player with very little experience. He and the party have been amazingly patient while allowing for some awesome moments with my character. If you like getting to experience an open world and have a lot of fun with your PC's, you'll have a great time! He's fantastic at tying in backstories as well. All in all, 10/10, I'd recommend to anybody who wants to jump in, with or without prior D&D knowledge.

I love my sessions with Ben as he makes sure everyone has their moments. He definitely is very adaptive to the situations and knows what he is doing. I would definitely say he's firm but fair on rulings and explains the reasoning why. Also he's great with new people and is very patient.

When I started playing with Ben, I was a relatively new player only about six months of experience and I was on the fence of continuing player due to lack of interest and groups never staying together. As soon as Ben and I started talking about what his campaign was and how every choice holds weight I was interested. Ben created a very immersive story that incorporates everyone’s backstories into the main story so it isn’t railroaded which is the true beauty of it. This is truly an open world experience. You and your party can choose to save Village 1 over Village 2 or say I don’t want any of that and travel 18 days across the continent to visit City Q because you heard rumors of something happening down there. Ben creates a world that you and your party shape for better or for worse. It is truly your world. We’ve been in his world of Faerun for almost a year at this point and we have barely explored a sliver of it. As for character creation Ben never turns away ideas and will humor almost anything “speaking from personally experience” and will put in amazing effort into making it happen and will speak through it all with you. Thanks to Ben, we have made it from doing one session a week on Friday to coordinating with everyone’s schedule so that we can do extra sessions throughout the week. He has created not just a party but a family. He has reignited my passion for DND and couldn’t give any higher praise. If you want an unforgettable experience allow him to be your storyteller.

He’s really good about letting the players shape and mold their characters and play them more freely. He keeps the fun alive with his creativity and mood setting and is good about making sure everyone is getting time to role play and keep growing their characters.

I will sit in roll 20 with players whole in discord, I allow all races and classes, as well as approved homebrew races and classes in my world. All player characters will be from somewhere outside of faerun.

Parties interested in the game should have a roll20 account for maps and characters and roll20 for voice chat audio needed video preferred but not mandatory to play.

“ I am a flexible, understanding DM who runs truly open worlds. This means the campaign is what the party makes of it—I’m not particularly PC so if you have anything you’d prefer not to see in the game I expect you to be honest about that upfront.
