How to prepare

You will need a D&D Beyond account and a Discord Account. A decent mic, headset and computer are also required. Other than that there is nothing you need to bring with you to the session other than a notepad to remember personal details or (seemingly!) minor events, session to session.

What I provide

I have the entire sourcebook collection on D&D Beyond for you to build with. As well as a lifetime subscription and exclusive beta-backer account with Alchemy VTT, a powerful virtual tabletop for predominantly theatre of the mind style play. An extensive sound library for cinematic ambience in every scene.

Gameplay details

A typical session will consist of logging into D&D Beyond, then joining Discord, and joining the Alchemy VTT link. After everyone is situated and ready to go, we will jump right into the game. Note, exploration and role-play make up a large portion of my gameplay as well as combat. This game is for people who like gritty realism combined with high fantasy. I love role-play and story-heavy games, with combat, exploration and world-building enhancing the former. You can expect the game to be fully fleshed out with maps, artwork and descriptions. Character death is a serious possibility, this is because I do not pull punches and let the dice fall where they may. I feel the world comes alive this way—when you are not invincible and are unsure whether a situation is easy or nearly impossible to manage. Knowing when to run is one of the greatest assets at your disposal. I want to get your adrenaline pumping in dangerous situations and your creative juices flowing in downtime. I do my utmost as a GM to bring tension and stakes to the table. I require everyone to be on time and ready for the session and expect them to stay for the entirety unless an emergency arises. I expect people to stay in character, as much as possible, and I do not tolerate metagaming. I run a mature game and any topic may come up at the table in-game, if there are any specific lines you would like to avoid crossing please feel free to message me and I will make a note of it. You can expect to have a 15-minute break around mid-session for grabbing snacks, and drinks.
