About me

Back in the 2000s, or the long long ago as I now call it, a friend of mine introduced me to Dungeons and Dragons 3.5. Ever since then I've been addicted to the game and watched it grow from a relatively niche hobby into the dynamic and expansive game it is today. I want to offer you the opportunity to experience the extraordinary, the adventure, the peril, the odyssey of your own fantasy. Band together with your friends and come make memories that you'll hold in your heart for years to come. Or perhaps step into my arena and slay friends and strangers alike to test your talents as a character builder! Whether you're a cooperative adventurer or a number-minded powergamer, I have a game just for you. So come along and pick a path of your own, step into the shoes of your own legend, and I'll be your guide to the fantastical worlds of Dungeons and Dragons!

Character creation

Creating your character

We will have a free session zero on or before the date of the first game where I help you build your characters. We'll be using DnD Beyond for character building.

The current party

Check your Player Dashboard for important links! Rules for character creation Your character level is 2. All character creation content will be available to you; if you see something missing, let me know and I'll change that. All races, classes, feats, and cross-classes are on the table. Stats are decided by point buy, and for health, take the fixed health value. Take starting equipment, and you have an additional 100 gold to equip yourself. Don't buy magical items besides common potions. Common potions are 50 gold unless otherwise stated, and you may buy any kind of potion you can afford. If there are items or equipment that don't have a listed cost or you're unsure about, ask me and I'll see about allowing/pricing them for you. If you need any help with anything at all, lemme know. Also, on the first page of character creation you can switch on Critical Role Content, Optional Class Features, and Customize your Origin if you so desire (these are the Tasha's customization options).

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a mic, Roll 20 account, D&D beyond account, and Discord (downloading it isn't needed, but helps). All dice rolls will be digital; no at home rolls will be accepted. Also get the Beyond 20 add on for chrome if you don't have it already, since we're going to be using both DnD Beyond and Roll 20. If you have any trouble with these systems or need help learning their basics, message me and let me know and I'll help you figure stuff out.

What Kevin brings to the table

I'm bringing every character creation option in DnD Beyond, a campaign link you will be able to make your character with online, and all the Roll 20 virtual maps and monsters we'll be using for the games.

Safety

How Kevin creates a safe table

I'll be using the Open Door safety tools for this game. If at any point you're uncomfortable and need a break, feel free to take one, no warning necessary. I'll also try to take a break midway through the game to ensure players don't get too worn out.
