Meet the Game Master
About me
I've been playing tabletop RPGs for about six years now, and after delving into a new game called Quest, I found my niche as a GM. The game sets aside a lot of the extraneous mechanics from more popular TTRPGs to make room for more roleplay and worldbuilding. I put heavy emphasis on making sure the players are getting what they want out of the tabletop experience. The most rewarding part of running the game is the reactions I get out of the players - getting to see the effect my story/world is having on the people I helped make a part of it. GMing is a cooperative role. The players help build the world just as much as I build it myself, and I try to always keep in mind that there would be no game without the player characters. As a trans woman, inclusivity is huge for me. I welcome all to join me at the table, and immerse in these magical journeys.

Character creation
Creating your character
After joining the discord you will have access to the Quest PDF so you can read at your leisure. You should try to come up with a concept of a character beforehand, but it is not required. I am willing to help each player create their character, we can work together to create your character in some free time at some point before the session, all the way up to the last couple hours before we play. I am very lenient when it comes to ideas for your character, so be prepared for me to say yes to most things. Most.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All you need is a microphone and Discord. Being prepared with a pen and paper is a bonus, and having your own 20 sided die is recommended but not required. Reading through the player's half of the Quest rulebook will lead to the smoothest gameplay, and it's quite an easy and quick read. This is not required, I have run for 6-7 year olds who hadn't read it and the session went great.
