About me
As a long-time gamer, I've owned and played every version of DnD since Advanced DnD (cir. 1979). I played and studied the hobby for decades while life kept me mostly away from the gaming table. When DnD 5e surfaced and started getting wide, positive press I picked up the interest again. I learned the rules and sought a group of players in 2017 to play at the kitchen table. For several years, we had a regular and well-played campaign often hosted in my home. All good things .... The group shrank in number and several short false starts at new campaigns occurred. I started an altogether new group which quickly ran afoul of irreconcilable personality conflicts. As COVID seemed to close the world, I tried a virtual "theater of the mind" game using Discord, only to see it sputter after a couple of sessions. I've recently begun learning and practicing with Foundry VTT and have placed my hopes for regular gaming in the virtual space (read "Astral sea"). When I get started, it will be glorious fun. Maybe you want to go along for the ride?
