This is the 2nd beginners quest that I've gone on, so I'm really new. The GM was really easy to talk to, quite imaginative, and a little forgiving. In the end, I had a great time!

I haven't played DnD for 40 years, so I have a basic foundation of knowledge of how the game is played, but I didnt know anything about the changes that have taken place over the last 4 decades. The first few minutes were very intimidating. I didnt know what I should do, and I felt uncomfortable talking out loud. That lasted all of 5 or 10 minutes because of how well Barth tells his story, and how easy he is to talk to. The initial intimidation was all in my head. Everyone in the party was super cool, too! For my first time in 40 years, it couldn't have gone better. Now, instead of being hesitant about joining parties, I'm eager to join them.
