Currently a player in an ongoing (1.5 years) Spelljammer campaign of Paul's, which has quickly become both my favorite TTRPG campaign and my favorite piece of ongoing narrative fiction in general. The overall vibe so far has been a delightfully unique mix of esoteric space opera, political intrigue, and classic D&D hijinks. There's a very satisfying reciprocity between the player characters and the world (including appropriate ~consequences~ for major actions), and stakes always feel just high enough to keep us engaged with the story, but not too high as to feel impossible. Original NPCs are incredibly engaging and endearing (yes, our party has even adopted a few...) Paul's also really good (really) at balancing different playstyles. Our group is a mix of character roleplayers, tacticians, and explorers, and it feels like we each get something of our own out of the campaign. Great at maintaining player boundaries and facilitating regular group communication.
