I played in Jasen’s custom Deck of Many Things one‑shot, and it was an absolute blast from start to finish. The original story he built around the deck was genuinely creative, full of fun twists, and packed with moments that felt unique to his table. Even when our group went off the rails (which… we definitely did), he handled the chaos with total confidence and kept the experience engaging without ever forcing us back into a box. His maps were excellent, his NPCs were lively and memorable, and his voice acting added a ton of charm to the adventure. You can tell he puts real care into his prep—everything felt polished, intentional, and designed to give players room to shine. If you’re looking for a DM who can manage a wild group, deliver a fun and imaginative story, and keep the table laughing, Jasen is absolutely worth booking.
DM Cruxien runs a West Marches style game that is simply entirely too much fun. He puts a ton of effort into the world, the sessions are top-tier, and he is an absolutely amazing DM. Because of this, his game slots fill up incredibly fast. I am actively trying to reduce the competition here so I can actually secure my own seat at the table. If you join, you are directly jeopardizing my weekend plans. All jokes aside: I couldn't recommend Cruxien's games more. If you are lucky enough to actually snag an open spot before it vanishes, grab it immediately. You won't find a better DM.
I played a Mini‑original one‑shot, and it was an absolute blast. The session struck a great balance of suspense, exploration, and combat, all wrapped in Mini’s excellent storytelling. Fights were run with impressive organization—Mini knows the rules inside and out and was incredibly patient with a newer player at our table. The worldbuilding, writing, and atmosphere were top‑tier, and his use of Owlbear for music and ambience elevated the spooky vibe perfectly. Overall, a fantastic experience with a talented and thoughtful DM. Highly recommend.
Brandon delivered one of the most enjoyable one-shots I've played. "Sand in the Gears" was packed with creativity, memorable encounters, and the perfect Planescape mix of weirdness, humor, mystery, and action. From the moment we stepped through Ol' Rusty's portal, the adventure felt alive and immersive. What impressed me most was how Brandon balanced a full table while making sure every player had opportunities to contribute and shine. Combat moved smoothly, roleplay felt natural, and he consistently rewarded creative thinking rather than forcing a single solution. His maps, visuals, and overall presentation elevated the experience, while his descriptions made the setting easy to picture. He's organized, welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about creating great games. +++UPDATE: My second time playing was even more fun and I am signing up for a full campaign ASAP.
