I jumped into one of Joshua's games several levels in, and both he and the other players were not only incredibly welcoming, but also had significant patience for every time I needed to pause the game and ask questions to get caught up, which I think says a lot of good things about how he runs his tables. He was also very open and even encouraging of ways I found (and some he recommended) to incorporate my character's backstory into the narrative, as well as some mechanical changes to my class to help them be the character I envisioned without breaking balance. Overall a fantastic experience and a great DM!
