I had the chance to jump into an ongoing campaign as a single session character, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. As an experienced player of over 10 years, I really appreciated how knowledgeable the GM was—not just with the rules, but with the players and overall flow of the game. He took the time to help me get my character set up and worked with me to build a backstory that fit naturally into the existing party, which made it easy to jump right into the action. The storytelling was engaging, and the session itself was packed with action that kept us on our toes the whole time. He also used music effectively to help set the mood, and ran the game smoothly through both Discord and Roll20 with clear confidence in both platforms. Most importantly, he made me feel genuinely welcome at the table. I’d happily jump in again if they ever need another fill-in, and I highly recommend playing with this game master.
