I’ve played 7 sessions with Emi as GM/Director, and the experience has been fantastic. Much of what makes Emi exceptional happens before the game even starts. Before session zero, they send a consent checklist so players can share expectations, needs, and boundaries, then share the results with the group in Discord. This created clear communication, helped everyone feel comfortable, and was especially valuable in a horror campaign. It made joining a new group much less intimidating and ensured everyone was on the same page from the start. In-game, Emi is highly knowledgeable about the Draw Steel ruleset, extremely prepared, and fair in adjudicating player actions. They feel like a collaborator rather than an obstacle, which makes sessions immersive, engaging, and genuinely fun. Every game leaves me excited to jump back into the story. I’d absolutely recommend joining one of Emi’s games.
