I've never been a big fan of playing online when it's a system I know, never mind one for which I've only skimmed the rulebook. If it's gonna be more like games with Emi, I might just change my mind. Maps are utilised truly only when needed with the rest of the scene set with sounds, a few vibe setting images and narration. Emi's relaxed and easy-going GM style is perfect for learning a new system (Draw Steel in my case.) We were given gentle nudges if and when we forgot we could do extra stuff, without it feeling like there was a rules lawyer on your shoulder constantly telling us what to do. NPCs feel alive and real, you feel the tone for each scene and always feel encouraged to do some big thrilling heroics. Can't wait for the next session!
