I'd like to start this by saying I'm NOT a DnD/tabletop RPG type of person at all. I don't have a very vivid imagination and I'm not a creative at all. It takes a very good storyteller to help me paint a picture in my head or I'm going to lose interest very quickly. This goes with any print media, including books. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, Ethan is the first and only GM/DM I've ever played with and, while I was admittedly hesitant to start a campaign, I ended up finding myself looking forward to our sessions, and much of that was due to Ethan's ability to design, build, and bring to life the world that you're playing in. That includes geography, city placement/architecture, map drawing, and the characters in that world. Each character you speak to has a unique personality and attitude, and will generally leave an impression on your character. The encounters with baddies and subsequent battles were very interactive and well designed. If a player got stuck (as I did on a number of occasions), Ethan was a great guide and would also encourage the other, more experienced, players to assist, if so desired. Overall, while we haven't played a campaign in a while now due to life happenings, as someone who used to have zero interest in this type of gaming and even hated on it, Ethan creates a world so immersive that even I've wanted to run another campaign recently and am hoping we can all find time to get another game going soon.
