I've played with a lot of DMs over the years, and what sets Dan apart is that creativity is consistently rewarded. This isn't a game where the answer to every problem is "optimize your DPR and hit it harder." If you come up with an inventive use for your abilities, the environment, or teamwork, the DM engages with it (unless it unbalances the game). During our campaign I've solved encounters by pulling enemies into environmental hazards, taking a fragile trickery Cleric and giving him a unique role beyond "healbot," and combining forced movement with allies' spells. None of those moments felt like I was exploiting loopholes—they felt like I was interacting with a world that responded logically to creative thinking. The encounters are challenging, but they reward players who pay attention to terrain, positioning, and clever ideas. If you're looking for a DM who values imagination over stat-stick builds and lets every class shine by playing, look no further. Dan rocks.
