About me

Greetings, adventurer! I am Saltus Ferro, your humble Dungeon Master. And you, adventurer? A brave and good-looking hero such as yourself might ask the question, "What might I, a brave and good-looking hero, expect from a campaign with this Saltus Ferro person as the DM?" And you'd be smart to ask it, you dashing dungeon-delver! AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE: You'll be immersed in a game that centers the players as the storytellers, from a DM who loves this game and the magic that happens at the table when every player has a chance to shine. A living world, where every choice matters. AN ORIGINAL WORLD: You'll play in a custom world, created collectively, whether it be in an established setting such as The Forgotten Realms or Eberron, or in a realm that is entirely of our collective creation. Would you like to play a game set 50, 100, 300 years after the events of Baldur's Gate 3? Perhaps a campaign set during the events of the Last War? Or perhaps, in a setting that belongs entirely to you and your fellow players? You won't find by-the-book adventure modules here -- we'll build a far richer and more dynamic story, together. A TRUE SESSION ZERO: Lines and veils? I've got 'em, and I expect you do too. Let's all have fun together, not at anyone's expense. This is also where we create our world, establish your character's class, origin, relationships, and backstory, and set our expectations for the tone and "vibe" you're looking for. We talk about the Pillars of Play (Combat, Social, Exploration) and the balance that each player is looking for. We playtest, and hammer out a schedule for meeting. For one-shots / mini-campaigns, we still have a session zero to discuss tone, classes, and lines + veils, but this may take place through one-on-one conversations between myself and each player, a group chat, or a combination. If you, dear adventurer, read the above and say, either aloud or only in the innermost recesses of your smart, brave, and very good-looking mind, something akin to "Well howdy, best call up Tymora and tell her thanks, because it's my lucky day," then I beseech you, contact me. Let's tell your story.
