Maven is an absolute top-tier DM. I could not have asked for a better experience for my first Start Playing Games campaign. She is an incredibly adept narrator and game master, whose vivid descriptions and great adventure design will leave you totally immersed in the story. Her ability to weave in our character backstories made us feel so directly entrenched and in the story, and several players remarked after our first session with her that they had roleplayed more in that session than any other D&D game before. Her NPCs are real people, lifelike, part of a shared living world, and great to interact with. She's super supportive and responsive with mechanics questions and character creation and so on. As a DM myself, I was looking for a great "immersive first-person player experience." Maven's table was EXACTLY that. If you're looking to have great time rolling dice while also telling a great story, with high-stakes combat, mysteries, and tons of fun, you can trust in Maven.
