About me
My first RPG was the BECMI D&D Basic Set, aka the Red Box. I played a first-level magic user, and I was hooked after casting my first magic missile. I went on to play a whole bunch of different RPGs with my friends through the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. Then life got in the way. I haven't played for a long while, but I'm getting back into it. E.g., I started DM-ing D&D 5E for my 9 year old nephew and his gang of murder hobos.

Jess is an awesome GM. I experienced an awesome introduction to Mothership via her Gradient Descent one-shot. She's really good at all the key GM skills: knowing the rules; vividly describing the world, playing the NPCs as distinct characters; leaning into crazy player actions; etc. And her ability to do voices is great. Jess played a key NPC at the end of the session with a voice that was genuinely creepy. I loved it.
