I’ve played D&D for years, but this was one of my first real experiences playing in a paid online game. I can confidently say it has been worth every penny. Rob is an exceptional Dungeon Master. Not only has he clearly mastered the ruleset, but he also understands how to run a game that is immersive, balanced, and genuinely fun. His storytelling pulls you in immediately, and he consistently creates moments where player characters get to shine. You never feel sidelined; the spotlight is shared thoughtfully, and every character feels important to the narrative. As someone who wasn’t very familiar with playing online, I especially appreciated how knowledgeable Rob is with Forge VTT and how patient he was while I learned the platform. He made the transition seamless and stress-free, which allowed me to focus on enjoying the game instead of worrying about the technical side of things. The group he has cultivated at his table is also fantastic; skilled, creative players with unique characters who clearly care about the story. That kind of table culture doesn’t happen by accident, it’s a reflection of the DM running it. Most importantly, it’s obvious that Rob genuinely loves running the game. That passion shows in the preparation, the energy at the table, and the consistent quality of every session. If you’re thinking about joining his table, do it. It’s some of the best D&D I’ve played, online or otherwise.
Let me tell you the tale of Kris, a Dungeon Master worthy of song and story. Though I came new to his table and green to the ways of online play, my welcome was swift and sure. With a steady hand and a generous spirit, he helped me forge my character and shape a fitting backstory, and even granted me leave to observe a session before my own heroic arrival, all without asking a single copper. Kris runs his game with confidence and joy. His NPCs are vivid and memorable, his voices bold and full of life, and the party he gathers is one any bard would gladly boast of traveling with. I have found him to be both a knowledgeable and fair DM. He places true weight on the stories of his players, weaving their past deeds and personal threads into the greater tale and giving each character moments to matter. The sessions flow smoothly, the hours fly by, and it is clear he truly loves the craft. If you seek a Dungeon Master who keeps the game true while letting every hero’s story shine, look no further, take your seat at Kris’s table and prepare to sing of it.
