So I’ve been playing with this DM for about 4 years before she’s gotten on startplaying just as a friend who introduced me to D&D and wanted me to partake in their campaigns. Vivian is accessible, courteous, and works hard to work with each player but the IT factor with her is precisely the last part: it isn’t just working around your schedule or making compromises to allow your character to do something cool, Vivian understands that the story of a campaign is a personal experience where the heroes are the crux of the whole thing and understands the need of “spotlight.” When you play with Vivian, you WILL be the main character of your story, your backstory WILL be integrated and be a key component in the campaign, you WILL have your time to shine and you WON’T feel like a side character in someone else’s story. The fact that I’ve been in a campaign with 6 other players under Vivian for four years and she balanced all that is a true testament to her storytelling abilities.
