Micah was my first DM and my introduction to DnD and TTRPGs (outside of StartPlaying, through mutual connections). Without their guidance, I wouldn't have found a passion for one of my now favorite hobbies. I was nervous, scared to perform, and my cognitive disability often made me forget rules and features. He was always patient with me, even if I had to be reminded of the same thing several times every session, and made understanding the basics of what I needed to learn easier; most of our first table were beginners, he could tell we were all nervous to play around and be daring with each other in the first few sessions, but with his incentive to trust our creative input we shook off that initial awkwardness and started having fun. They're good at establishing boundaries and giving direction and freedom without it feeling stifling, they'll be interested in your characters and your motivations, and the fears that come with being a minority in this space (even in the growing, more diverse subset of TTRPG players) were quelled as he always encouraged us to put elements of our cultures and identities into our stories. It never felt awkward to be queer, latina, disabled and wanting to make that a part of my characters at their table because I never had to fear that I was being too annoying about it. And they're so funny too. Anyone would be in good hands with him. Thank you for making me love playing.
