About me
I've been running D&D on and off for my friends for the last thirty+ years. The adventures I've ran and completed: Night Below - An Underdark Campaign (2nd edition), Greyhawk: The Lost Tombs trilogy (2nd edition), the Shackled City (3.5), Reavers of Harkenwold (Essentials), Lost Mines of Phandelver (5e), Princes of the Apocalypse (5e), and Waterdeep: Dragon Heist (5e). I've run the first two installments of Rise of the Runelords, as well as other Pathfinder modules. I've also ran Star Wars (West End Games, d20, and the Saga edition), Shadowrun (4th - 6th edition, as well as Anarchy), and classic Traveller.

Darren is not kidding when he says his games are combat-heavy. As a player in many other games where I participated in only one fight per game session, these were great for someone who desperately wanted something more combat-focused. The battles aren't easy and Darren has disclosed that you WILL need to work as a team to discover how your character will synergize with the other players effectively in a fight. The games are run on Foundry and Darren has not only proven his proficiency with the tools given to him through the virtual tabletop, but has gone out of his way to CORRECT the mistakes that Wizards of the Coast won’t even bother to fix in the VTT. That is a level of dedication I have never seen from a DM. The presentations on the VTT are visually-stunning with beautiful set pieces for our battles. If you’re looking for something like Critical Role with the theatrics, this is not that. If you want to see your character rapidly grow from level 1 to 20, this is the DM to join.
Joshua is one of the very few GMs I've ran into who was willing to run the newest version of Traveller and his knowledge with the ruleset made it incredibly easy to walk through the character generation process in less than an hour. His familiarity with the established setting made his game approachable. Using visuals from older versions of the game was a delight as I've only played Classic Traveller decades ago and it was wonderful to return to a familiar universe with a polished ruleset and with someone who knows how to effective teach and run the game.
