DM has been absolutely fantastic with world building for an upcoming Strahd campaign. Players have agency with their backgrounds but also build in secrets and motivations that tie to the campaign. The result is that I've never felt more connected to a campaign from session 0. Discord server is well organized and active with members from various campaigns.
