Hermann is thorough and efficient in a way that is great for new players and Learn2Plays. In our session of Daggerheart, we were able to experience a multitude of facets the system has to offer. The players and I also were able to interact abundantly with core mechanics to ensure we have a solid grasp. What stood out to me was Hermann's uncanny aptitude in determining when clarification was needed. More often than not, Hermann would toss a casual clarifying comment about how a mechanic would work (i.e. like not gaining hope or fear for reaction rolls) that would have me correcting my character sheet to reflect the correct resources. This expedited and streamlined the flow of the story. Our party was of established Role-Players, so I think that helped in ensuring a positive experience, too. If you are new to TTRPGs and wanting to exploring Learn2Plays with Hermann, you will find a patient and helpful GM with whom you will undoubtedly be comfortable asking questions. However, the flow and pace of your experience may be a bit choppier as is typical with new players.
