From my experience across few one-shots and mini-campaign Jerd's storytelling shines the most in any game that involves investigation and horror. Injections of humour never clash with the critical story and emotional beats. Even within constraints of shorter games I felt like there was always room made for personal development for the player characters or at least for them to be challenged in personal manner. Worldbuilding is always on point and DM is patient and quick with getting players up to speed with information needed to better understand the setting-specific context and lore. Bonus points for the best explanation of American Football I could get within 5 minutes or less.

Chicky as a DM is not afraid of testing out a new system in an one-shot or a short story or sink into a longer adventure that follows character exploration (both individual and group as an entity) and the larger narrative. She manages to bring out storylines even for generated characters that are meant to be replaceable by the system standards (Like in Shadowdark for example) which adds to stakes of keeping such characters alive and pumps up the involvement even more in longer games where it has more time to build up, stew along the main plot and get explored. I definitely recommend bouncing off ideas before the game with this DM because process of ironing out backstories with Chicky always had been pleasant to me and lead to some good adjustments or additions that was good compromise between my ideas and world/story Chicky worked with. Many one-shots I played under this DM's lead felt like story that easily could continue. Almost like experiencing a captivating videogame that awaits sequel or a first episode from TV series. It was a fascinating thing to notice because before playing with Chicky most one-shots felt more like they could be just summarised by a simple sentence of "well, now it's done. I can cross out trying this thing off the list" or "I should now find actual game in this system to play". There's also fantastic use of safety tools and good reception to complaints/endorsements during the game run.
