I think any type of player would be lucky to have Greg as a DM. Somehow with our game he has managed to balance two chaos goblins with two more serious characters, giving everyone a chance to shine, show off, and have their moments. In his campaign, we have had absolute ridiculousness that has had us cackling and unable to breathe and also such tense and heavy RP moments that genuinely pulled on the heart strings. He seems to mold his DMing into whatever style fits best for the players at his table, and even makes adjustments on the fly if someone decides to go in a new direction with their character or build. He has quite a repertoire of voices, such that you don’t get NPCs confused (even in an NPC heavy story like ToD) and for those scenes where there are lots of NPCs, like a council meeting, he puts tokens on the map with their names and images to help players keep track. Have I mentioned how well he rolls with the punches? We captured an assassin with some incredibly lucky rolls and with even more luck on our side managed to convince the assassin to join us instead. Within moments, Greg gave life to this character and allowed us to keep our new friend! When players succeed in trying something crazy and new, he isn’t afraid to make up a rule or a save or whatever is needed on the spot. If he doesn’t know an exact rule, he decides in the moment what to do to keep the game flowing and will be ready at the next session with the actual knowledge or rule if what he made up is a bit too powerful or not powerful enough. All in all, Greg is an amazing DM who is absolutely worth your time and money. The way he lets the players lead, but can push them in the right direction when they get stuck is just perfection incarnate. I could extol his virtues for hours myself, but give him a shot, play a few games with him, bring an idea to the table, and you’ll be hooked!
