I've played in two games and a one-shot with Boyd and in all three of the games I felt a sense of player agency I don't normally get in dnd. Boyd's deep understanding of the base rules of dnd allows them to be very flexible with player creativity. It's always fun running an idea past Boyd, and he's been willing to make things work in a way that still feels like dnd(even if we have to homebrew a little to get there). He's also very in tune with each players individual experience, and does a good job of passing the spotlight around and making sure everyone is having a good time. I would highly recommend Boyd as a DM, whether you're a first time player or a seasoned adventurer.
