Boyd has a very balanced style of running games that makes for comfortable and easygoing roleplay environments. The conflicts, puzzles, predicaments, and NPCs in his games are approachable and grounded when needed while also staying fresh and unique. He has a thorough understanding of rules and systems, but integrates those aspects seamlessly into the stories and scenes he crafts for players, so it doesn't feel like mechanics are interrupting the story. Boyd is a DM who crafts games with care and thought put into them. But he allows players to approach those scenarios with a level of freedom that results in fun and often silly or tense outcomes.
