New D&D player here. I decided to try out D&D a little over a year ago in a one shot with friends at a table, and I never really played it since even though I had a lot of fun. When I saw TaleSpire, I thought the VTT program looked really cool so I looked around for any games online using it, and I came across John at StartPlaying. Since signing up, I have had a couple sessions with John going through his Village of Homlet Homebrew which has been really fun and new player friendly. John seems to have plenty of experience DMing and knows TaleSpire quite well which really brings the adventure to life! I am looking forward to continuing the homebrew to see how things shake out, but I would highly recommend John for people at all experience levels.
