I had very little experience with DnD when I first joined for one of Thor's one-shots over the COVID pandemic. I was worried that my lack of experience as a player, and the new experience (for me) of being remote would hinder my ability to contribute to the narrative and my party. This wasn't the case in the slightest - Thor was able to weave together such an engrossing tale to lift our spirits out of lock-down woes. Something I always look forward to in Thor's games are the lengths he goes through to establish the setting, from charming hand drawn maps, to hilariously acted out voices, and custom playlists all with his own custom flare. He also does a wonderful job of incorporating the players into the world building process on the go, and I never felt like I was ruining his vision or story. In the past I had felt like I was overstepping my bounds as a player, but Thor always made me feel like I was an actual part of the world he had set up for us, not just my character. Thor is so much fun and wish I could be a part of more campaigns. P.S. Its a crime that I can only pick 3 tags to describe Thor as a DM.
