Was I bribed to write this? Sure, a little, but the fact that Robert is allowing us to level up to 18 if I write a review only speaks to his flexibility and willingness to incorporate the whims of his players into whatever he has planned for a session. Plus, he didn't say I had to be nice. Jokes aside, prior to joining Robert's campaign, I had only dabbled in 5e and still had a lot to learn. I'm also not terribly comfortable with all the longer roleplaying bits, and my tormented soul means I'm stiff at best when engaging with the character backstory that I, myself, conceived. Robert is endlessly patient, striking a balance between explaining the rules and letting us flout them to support the narrative, allowing me to roleplay at my comfort level or retreat a little when I'm not feeling it. Robert is creative, funny, and kind. He cultivates a fun and inclusive environment for players with any level of experience. I highly recommend joining one of Robert's campaigns! Vive le Robert.
