About me

I love tabletop gaming, card games, war games, video games, strategy games, and game design in general. I was the Forever GM for my gaming group for over 15 years before we moved apart. I'm quite involved with the solo roleplaying community and have authored some popular tools used to play tabletop RPGs solo or without a GM. I also love what my friends call "multiplayer novel" which is basically just highly narrative play-by-post games. Anything from free-form roleplay to mega-crunch tactical wargames and everything in between is great for me. I tend to prefer super simple, streamlined game systems that move fast and offer frequent, meaningful choices over those that are really complex with tons of options, rules, and calculations. Outside of gaming, I'm a software engineer writing mostly backend code for scientific systems and military simulation equipment. I also dabble in video game design with the Godot game engine.
