Y’all, Ash is the real deal. Very down to earth and chill, an incredibly talent voice artist with NPCs, fun to be around outside of games, runs dynamic combat (praise be), and infuses great story elements into each session. He allows for significant player freedom (as a party, no main character shenanigans), and is great at supporting roleplay for experienced players and new players alike. I would highly recommend playing in his games. I’ve done one shots with him, and I’m now in a longer running game. He’s consistent, fun to play with, and you’re guaranteed to have a good time. 11/10 would recommend.
What's up gamers. No bush beating here, Laughter is the real deal. Rule of cool reigns supreme with this man, and his chill defines the game. If you have a cool idea and want to play around with it (as long as it's not hella disruptive to the rest of the party), Laughter will take that and run. I kid you not, for our game, this dude not only wrote his own campaign in THREE acts, but decides that the first act isn't good enough, and rewrites it from scratch, totally around 4,000 words. He's also writing like 4 more acts, and has other campaigns in the works. That's commitment. Laughter also has a bunch of really neat custom content that works seamlessly with your expected 5e experience. His fully realized allies/pets/companions system is brilliant and inventive, and unlike many other systems doesn't bog down combat. Speaking of combat, it's personally my favorite of the three pillars, and his combats are showy, fun, visceral, and make me feel like I'm actually there. I love his descriptions, and it feels like a real challenge. He also infuses really cool and completely unique magic items into the world for us to find, and each session feels like something new is around the corner. I started off in this campaign playing an Echo Knight Fighter and (no offence, Matt Mercer) it honestly wasn't really what I was expecting. Sure it was powerful, but not very tactically satisfying. When I wanted to switch to a Barbarian with a Ghostfire Gaming subclass after a couple sessions, Laughter found a wonderful way to weave that into the story and made the transition seamless for me and for the other players. Although I love combat, I'm a huge RP dude as well, and I always feel immersed in the world with interesting and varied characters. If you want romance, he's got that too, and doesn't make it weird. I always leave games wanting more, and looking forward to the next session the following week. All in all, Laughter's a chill dude, a passionate person, a phenomenal GM, and in the weeks I've known him, a good friend. 11/10 would recommend. You will have a good time, I promise.
