I was one of five players for a "Between Tangled Roots" one-shot that Heather ran, pulling heavily from the "Islands of Sina Una" source book and the Ancestry and Culture 5e supplement which is an alternative to race. I appreciated her professionalism and enthusiasm about both the source material and role play throughout, from our pre-session review of character mechanics and backgrounds through the well-paced adventure. She brought us through a solid mix of setting exploration which was especially interesting in Sina Una, role play with engaging NPCs, and combat with a satisfying resolution. It's incredibly difficult to seamlessly bring all of that into a one shot, but we were able to work together and she powered through running a 5+ hour session while keeping us engaged the entire time. I also really appreciated her respect for the Philippines-based setting, and general consideration for player backgrounds and sensitivities. We all felt comfortable using the safety tools put in place which is very important to me as I have had GMs completely ignore those and not even have a session zero. I had an amazing time and if you play with Heather, I'm sure you will too!
