I’ve never felt genuine dread in a game till now where I saw death of many characters in front of me but somehow even by the end, there was hope of success. That’s how combat is ran with a lot of real weight, minus the dice just hating you. The usage of people backstories, the implementation of small things that shouldn’t be as important is played up. Everyone has a spotlight and chance to shine, whether it be foolhardy or serious. Honestly been a great time.

Darren is a great DM, was able to help facilitate crazy ideas as long as it fits into reality/Rules and provides quite a lot of combat with the time I had him as a DM. Was very diplomatic and while sounding strict was always toward the benefit of the group and keeping the game balanced in the good way. Plus he puts a lot of work in the background that isn't much noticed in the longer term but is greatly appreciated. Would easily be a player for him again.
