Inferno is an incredible game that features intense rumination about the fate of the human race....NOT! Heh, if you know Arto tho that's the kind of content you'd expect by default (some of their past games being FE in space plus time travel or FF plus resident evil). But for those who don't know them, let me be clearer. The dm here is quite the artist and the world builder, so expect some serving of prose that makes your hair pull up or your eyes into squares as you get that feeling of 'wow, deep' accompanied by backgrounds that make you cry tears of fulfillement. That's canon, it's in the lore. But now about the game itself. You've read the description, play as an angel, mortal or something else as you move to make a difference in a world where lower class people are litterally exposed to rain floods when those above have a sewer issue. Be it an android from a famous journal abandond now rising up for the rights of their brethren; an angel from the very heavens descending downards to aid their brethren deem unsaveable and punch bad guys in the guts, etc. Shadowrun(5e)'s a simple system to make character with such flair, and I personally reccomend specializing on something from the very start. As it's good to be good at something than meh in everything. Then again progression will make it possible to enhance and invest in other skills or gear eventually so don't take my words from the heart. As for the game's vibes, they're peculiar, in a good way, there's a sort of melancholy in the dm's words that makes it feel like you're playing one of those half novel half action games and the other players are already getting used to it and throwing out their own prose. (I'm doing the same, but one secret shared? I just use fancy words I see on dictionaries) You totally don't have to do the same. I'd respect your gib more if you did, lol. So, conclusion: You get what the title said you get, cyberpunk with angels and demons. The dm fosters character growth and moments and the way the scenes are described is perfect to set up what is going on, immersive gameplay and a kind dm always keep this goose playing, it's safe to say that I'm staying in this one until the end and will join another when my poor ass can afford it. (At like 80 a month, I just shove the amount on a spare bank count that puts the money back at the payday and voila, s'rather cheap too from what I can tell about the standard prices and I'd rather spend it on Arto than junk food or triple A videogames that I'll totally will play but most of the time just don't have the time or mood for. Which is a convenient part of play by post as I can just look at my phone after a long day, see if the game updated, brew some tea while thinking about my reply if it did and see a response by the time I'm done. And if it isn't, I can just take a nap and see said reply in the morning.) Now that's the kind of stuff that keeps you in perpetual motion so as to not be left spinning in the dust of others. Including good times that seem to be never ceasing. Until...to your shock... You're surrounded in a sunless land, mouth full of the kaleidoscopes of never fulfilled dreams and broken hearts. Everything around you like blue swells -- yet, by imagination -- limited. You're disgusted with yourself as your whole world comes crashing down. From sunrise to sunset, city to surf. Next door to the great outdoors, rooftops to the underground, things would never be the same again. Wait, hold on a sec. I'm getting a call. What? Chop Goblins? Goblins that Chop? They've hit the station? They've stolen the wand of the corinthians? I'll be right there.
