I have been gaming with this GM for a number of years now, and he is awesome. Some great things off the top of my head: - He is incredibly knowledgeable. Don't know all of the rules? No problem. Want help crafting your character? No problem. New to Roll20? Also not a problem. You're a seasoned 5e player and you want to throw him a curveball? Good luck! - He is great at letting the players play and flexible enough to let the game happen. If you want to RP selling water to a kracken, you're welcome to try. Think it would look badass to have your character leap from a 2-story building, tumble through his landing and throw a dagger at the back of a fleeing enemy? Yeah, that actually happened in one of my games. For our games we always played with Critical Successes and Failures actually having consequences, which I enjoyed because they can lead to very fun situations. - His campaigns are engaging and fun. Whether you are building a trade guild in the Underdark or trying to save the earth from annihilation by aliens, his campaigns are great. - Great visuals (and music if that's your thing). He has tons of maps so you really get a feel for where you are and what your characters are doing. His music choices are top notch and always theme/campaign appropriate. - Last but not least, he is incredibly nice and helpful. Trying to figure out a good backstory? He's got you covered. Want to try a crazy build you read online? He'll help you theorycraft it. Wondering which feat would be good to pick at level X? He can help you with that too. I realize this bullet point seems the same as the first one, but there is a difference between knowing the rules and helping someone else understand the rules. This guy has both.
Gonzo is a great GM. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the rules and is great at walking players through everything from character creation to feat and item selection. Gonzo is responsive, creative, and always willing to work with players. He rewards good roleplaying, and he adjusts to each session as it progresses.
