Completed my first session with AP this week, with my new DnD group on Tuesdays for Dragon Lance. I have been wanting to play this module for a while now, since I read the books many moons ago when I was a teenager, and was really happy to find a group that would allow me to do so. Communication before starting the game was great, with expectations laid out on what I needed to do and have setup. His discord is well laid out with lots of information, different game options, and I was welcomed in by everyone in our new group that was already playing and first impressions were wonderful. It's going to be a great fit! The game started on time, and after the introductions and getting our characters into the scene, it was fast paced with lots of fighting, (YEAH!) but there was a lot of roleplaying meshed in by AP and the other players as well. People trying different voices and ideas - but not to the point it started over taking everything. You know it's a safe place to have fun when people are willing to put themselves out there in that manner. I did not find any huge gaps in chat with nothing going on as mentioned in other reviews, (which I read prior to joining and had concerned me a little), but it was unwarranted and those can easily be explained by a DM intentionally pausing and allowing time for players to fill in and have a chance to RP and have fun themselves to move the narrative forward. You never want a DM that constantly overtalks their player characters and does not allow that to happen! I joined this game with my boyfriend and in our private post game chat, we discussed how much we had enjoyed ourselves and how happy we were that we finally found our next long term campaign. If you are looking for a new campaign and adventure, AP comes highly recommended!

Lou will test you and you will learn! Her games are creative and fun - I highly recommend as it is always a game on the edge of your seat as you learn to play. Can’t say enough.
