We all had a blast and this GM helped me through my first DnD game ever. This GM also created an elaborate map with lots of fun encounters and multiple paths to take. We were all cracking up and having a great time, during the one-shot. What was really fun/funny, was seeing the humanity shine through, with how the group decided to play the game. One guy role played really hard and refused to break character, as a self-righteous paladin, that was hell-bent (ironic choice of words) on bringing the elusive, evil wizard to justice. I played as an oathbreaker, that was contrastingly only in it for riches and personal gain. Eventually, the paladin declared he was going to not only single handedly kill the wizard (in his own lair), but that he was going to arrest the rest of us as well, for changing our allegiances. He ended up getting banished to an alternate dimension, while the rest of us came to a mutual agreement with the wizard and made off with our riches.
