Daphne uses all of her powers to bring a game to life from fun character voices to sound effects and music. She uses all manner of story telling devices like dreams and flashbacks, and she always weaves player backstories into the narrative. I highly recommend her as a GM for players who enjoy role playing and immersion. She has a strong grasp of the rules and presents a challenging gaming experience, but as a player you get the sense that she is on your side; not a sadistic GM, but she also does not forgive mistakes. She is constantly improving her visual aides and experimenting with different ways to help players see and feel their world. If you don’t like to role play, then you probably won’t get the most out of her gaming experience. Nevertheless, I have seen her work well with beginners and veterans, and I have witnessed both getting swept up into the fantasy.
