Played 129 sessions

I've been playing with Animancy for nearly 2 years, this is the most consistently enjoyable time I'm played DnD. I've been in several different campaigns from his own creation Isle of Mnemos to Curse of Strahd and other varying one shots. I've played with dozens of other players in this time and look forward to sessions each week. He's a very accommodating dm, when someone wants to explore something he generally allows it. You want to have a character arc/development? Just ask and he'll work something out. Wanting a light session to cool down from too much plot? He's got at least a dozen one off quests prepared to load into a campaign. It's also nice that he knows the majority of the mechanics from being a dm for so long. To be clear he doesn't remember every mechanic, but there's so much I couldn't blame him since I don't know them all either. I help him out when I can for a quick check when possible mid session to ease his job. He's definitely open to feedback as well, and it's thanks to this he keeps improving. There was one combat encounter I had that Animancy had buffed for our group specifically. The problem was it was overbuffed and our party would've wiped fully with no way to escape if it wasn't for a little retcon he did. In the end we did overcome the problem after several more sessions, but we as the players collectively talked with him to refine the battle so other players wouldn't suffer like we did. We were I think the third group to ever test it and it was harder for us than those two before us. Still he listened, never raised his voice or criticized us back, and simply adjusted it along with other future encounters in the same story.
