I recently had the pleasure of joining a delightfully chaotic Killer Kobolds mini-campaign, led by the fantastic DM, Josh. From the very start, Josh proved to be a encouraging, thoughtful, and hilarious storyteller who put a clear focus on engaging with his player's creativity. A standout quality of Josh's DMing was his collaborative story telling, making sure no player got left behind. Josh skillfully wove our (at times, questionable) ideas into each quest's narrative, creating a collaborative and immersive experience for us all. Josh didn't just guide the story; he let us, as players, shape and mold it with our choices and ideas. Even when those choices were vaulting into a room full of enemies _and kittens_ with 1 HP remaining, (naturally) being reduced to 0 HP, exploding, and then eviscerating the one item we'd been searching over an hour for... well, Josh didn't just make the most of it, he made it incredibly fun. I also want to shout out Josh's use of Foundry and Discord for the sessions. The combination made online-play engaging and seamless. The maps, character art, and soundtracks were nothing short of impressive and helped bolster each quest to even greater heights. As a Foundry newbie myself, Josh made sure to schedule an intro session before the campaign started and got me up to speed on all things Foundry before play began. Even after that, Josh welcomed questions and quickly resolved any issues that popped up for me during play. Overall, playing as a chaos-fueled, queen-devoted, lizard in space in Josh's Killer Kobold campaign was everything that I could have hoped for and more. His passion for storytelling, commitment to players' agency, and knowledge of the game (and tools) combined to create an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a DM who goes above and beyond to make your adventures truly epic, look no further than Josh. 10/10, would embark on another adventure with Josh at the helm!
