I've played many tables with DFWdev, and in all of them creativity reigned, the very conversation of the NPCs allied with the character, the plot of the "villains", the way in which each region of the world works independently but at the same time the actions make a difference with other possible NPCs. As for the characterization of the characters, it is always up to the player, even if you want to do something unusual, with a little conversation with the DM ,he can adapt it in to the world. Pay atention to the homebrew rules that can be used to create a special skill, modify tricks, spells, weapons, etc.
