I’m saying Brad is an amazing GM like everyone else because he is! I’ve been in his campaign for a few months now and each week im always looking forward to playing in it. He provides detailed maps of the battlefield through Roll20. He definitely knows his way around it to make any game amazing. Not only that, but I know for a fact he puts in his time outside of the session to make gameplay optimized for everyone. If he doesn't know something, he will do research on it outside of hours to find out the exact details. Not only this but he takes suggestions very seriously. Going into his campaign you can expect to be able to work with him to hash out the details to make your journey in the campaign feel very personalized even in a group setting. Even though I went into his campaign very last minute, I kept an open-mind and presented a very moldable backstory with some holes for him to fill. I dont think any other GM could work my story in as perfect as him; I’m still learning details about my own backstory, I love what he’s done and I can tell he’s definitely had some fun with it. As a player it may seem like you’re not progressing that fast, but it all builds up in the grand scheme to make an amazing story line. And with the saying “it’s the journey that counts”, you don't get tired of the journey and you have fun all the time. His world has so many hidden details that you can keep exploring, so that’s why it might seem like it’s going at a slow pace.
Sam is amazing at helping new players choose the right path when it comes to character making. He’s well versed in the core DnD mechanics. I think the best thing about having Sam as a DM are the different voices and characters he’s able to emulate. I played as a ranger in his campaign and when I would use talk with animals, his ability to reflect exactly what a speaking animal would say/think was scary at times I wouldn’t know what to say😂. I was left speechless a lot of the time, the amount of emotions he’s able to invoke at a table by playing a variety of different characters is incredible. The pace of his campaign was perfectly set; a wonderful balance of role playing and fighting while still making significant process through the story.
