This was our very first game of Wanderhome and we played it along with Cleo and had Daisy as our guide. Daisy has, quite frankly, been indispensable to the experience. Without their creativity, quick mind and ability to plan and sculpt the game play with us we wouldn’t have been able to engage with the game in the ways we did. The outcome was an organic story shaped by two people in the US and two in the UK which created some great characters, a whole new town dedicated to celebrating books and knowledge, a tea festival, a mystical tree, a tower to be repaired and an awful lot of sourdough.
D&D on D for beginners and experts alike. I started playing d&d mid week and today completed a full session with multiple players and that was only really possible to Bruno’s commitment, enthusiasm and expertise. For anyone out there who is thinking of playing then this is a perfect place to come to learn. In session 1 we spent time preparing my character and setting up for a brief foray into Icewind Dale which was skillfully presented. We didn’t get faring9t he campaign so I booked another session the next day so I could learn and level up but before that Bruno spent an hour in a text session with me where we essentially typed each other stories and set up the scene so that the afternoon was good for everyone and I wasn’t too far behind. Having just finished the second session I now have a fully fledged character, understand some elements of the rules and more importantly know how to play with a group. More important is the fact that I don’t know anyone who plays so Bruno is my lifeline to D&D and his commitment to ensuring I don’t have to over commit is amazing and I suspect that when word gets out he’ll be more popular than Taylor Swift. Well, maybe just a bit less.
