Syd is a wonderful Game Master. She is creative, engaging, patient, kind, and funny. She brings the world to life with vivid descriptions, memorable NPCs, visual aids, and thematic background music, and engages players in the world building as well. Syd is an excellent teacher to those who are new to the system, or to role playing in general! In our Perils and Princesses game I played with three complete strangers, and yet by the end of our second session I was in tears (happy tears) from the beautiful story we had woven together. I strongly recommend Syd as a Game Master.
I have played in several text games with Sean GMing. He is adept at running games over text and pulls off the balance of keeping the story moving while also allowing for a tremendous amount of player agency. Sean is skilled in many genres. I have played in a game with a steampunk vibe, one modeled after the cartoon Lower Decks, and I am currently playing a solo game as a Photographer who uses her photos to change and influence the world around her. Every game has been engaging, fun, and narratively satisfying.
Playing in the Orsak Narrative Universe is an incredible experience. My one-on-one games have helped me improve my improvisation skills, and are helping me become a better DM myself. Playing by post solves the age old problem of ttrpgs: scheduling. It's roleplay on a more forgiving and consistent schedule, with time to think and craft your responses. I can check in on my games every day, and never have to miss or go weeks or months between games. The text-based games are fun, interactive, and easy to engage with. I love my characters and have had so many amazing moments -- here are just a few examples. Playing out a game based on Pride and Prejudice and Zombies with a group of women who became like sisters to me both in an out of game. Playing a toon imp who journeyed through Hell and back, and finding love and happiness at the end of her story. Playing a housecat druid who gladly gave up her life to save the Christmas Trees she protected. Currently I am playing an Ink Mage who works her magic through runes and contracts... the possibilities are truly endless!
