James is incredible at what he does, some of which includes portraying realistic situations with realistic characters that almost always perfectly fit in to the setting. I have played in a vampire the requiem game (first experience with the system, he did a great job teaching me it) and a cyberpunk red game run by him. A key moment that I feel portrays him is when during the vampire the requiem game, almost all of our players left due to out of control reasons except for three, and one of them was only there temporarily. Instead of cancelling the game like he would be justified to do, he continued on for a few sessions to fast track an ending and epilogue that explained important plot details and the futures of our characters. The cyberpunk game is still early in its development currently, so there isn't much I will say about that except for the length he goes in making custom maps and incorporating our backstories into the world around us is great.
I am a new player who didn't fully know their character. In a tense moment, I forgot one of my abilities that was able to turn the situation around completely. Sadly, I found that out a moment too late, on another character's turn. Still, because of how new I was and the situation, I was allowed to have retroactively used my ability and we avoided a likely tpk.
