I have played one Pathfinder 1e campaign with Spyre as GM, that has run for a few years at this point. He is really good at worldbuilding, and then leading the players to learn about the world as they explore instead of just lore dumping about it at the beginning. The world I played in was a completely homebrewed fantasy setting, with unique locations, history, and organizations (No adventurer's guild, though there are some groups that play a similar, smaller role). The party is relatively large, and he worked with each player to understand their character's motivations and personality as well as find a way for them to all be setting-appropriate. While playing, he used the knowledge of those characters to put them in situations that made it easy for interactions and roleplaying to occur. While there has been an overarching plot, it is more along the lines of the party learning about events in the setting, and it has never felt like we've been railroaded into making one particular decision with the knowledge. One thing to note is that he homebrews or modifies a lot of monsters and npcs, so don't expect to know the statblock of opponents or potential npc allies in combat.
