About me
Hi! I'm Spyre and I am a Pathfinder 1e and DND 5e GM and occasional player, although I am very much open to learning new systems. I have been GM-ing since 2018 and have hundreds of hours of experience as both a player and a GM, so I understand how it feels to be on either side of the screen. I am very well versed acquainted the Roll20 platform, as well as Dungeondraft and Wonderdraft for making combat and world maps. My GM-ing style focuses on blending style and function, letting players do what they want to do within the confines of the game's rules and the world lore. I use a lot of homebrew equipment and I do not use pre-made modules, so players never know what exactly to expect. However, if given a setting and story to work with, I am able to work within those confines to add my own spin to things and make the game entertaining for everyone involved. My rates and schedule are both flexible and I am very accommodating to player schedules and availability limitations.
GM Style
Blend of style and function, let players do what they want within my setting or a setting given by the game. The more moving parts the better, and while I can keep track of it all I prefer if players keep track of their own things as well. Plot, subplot, and reference heavy - expect many story twists and turns and callbacks to earlier story beats.

Storytelling
I have played one Pathfinder 1e campaign with Spyre as GM, that has run for a few years at this point. He is really good at worldbuilding, and then leading the players to learn about the world as they explore instead of just lore dumping about it at the beginning. The world I played in was a completely homebrewed fantasy setting, with unique locations, history, and organizations (No adventurer's guild, though there are some groups that play a similar, smaller role). The party is relatively large, and he worked with each player to understand their character's motivations and personality as well as find a way for them to all be setting-appropriate. While playing, he used the knowledge of those characters to put them in situations that made it easy for interactions and roleplaying to occur. While there has been an overarching plot, it is more along the lines of the party learning about events in the setting, and it has never felt like we've been railroaded into making one particular decision with the knowledge. One thing to note is that he homebrews or modifies a lot of monsters and npcs, so don't expect to know the statblock of opponents or potential npc allies in combat.
A passionate storyteller and worldbuilder. He creates worlds with tons of details, where every little interaction is given plenty of thought and hides small details that always loop back to the main story. He is very good with tailoring combat encounters to the level of the group, such that they are never too easy or impossible for the group to tackle, and yet are still fresh and exciting.
