I met Steve on a Startplaying game where he was both a player and a DM aid to help tell the story. I have played in about a dozen different Startplaying games at this point and this game was by far the best game experience I have ever had. When the DM got too sick to continue running the game Steve picked up the role with his homemade campaign based off the Homblewood books. He has built a compressive world that is easy to hop into and is fun to play in. He has designed very creative and interesting encounters, gameplay, and scenes that allow our group lots of room to roleplay. He has fully designed maps and tokens and has reached out to help me acquire materials to represent my character when I was struggling to find something usable. He is respectful and kind person that really prioritizes the player enjoyment and who knows how to tell an interesting story. Steve is also a profession voice actor and anyone who plays in one of his games will quickly find themselves falling in love with all of his NPCs. On the 1st interaction with a backstory villain his roleplaying skills allowed for a very engaging 1st encounter that didn't have and violence nor conflict, yet the entire party immediately grew a deep hatred for the villain. His immense skill and creativity allow him to break from tropes while still hooking the players investment in the world and story. It is a very fun and unique experience that I have never been able to experience before.

Good DM. Campaign ran I to a number of logistical issues and he was able to keep the story moving in a fun and worthwhile way. He was also able to handle player related issues professionally while still maintaing the fun of the game.q
