An incredible and flexible DM who prioritizes the safety and comfort of all players, old and new, to allow themselves to get away from the stressors of the world and relax in a space that lets you indulge in the creature comforts of fantasy- while giving the guidance and (flexible) structure required for such a shared experience. Able to merge rules and narrative seamlessly, Jake has helped me see the storytelling potential of tabletop: and allowed me to tell /my/ story, in a space that felt right to me. He was my first experience with TTRPGs, and helped me understand the rules (goodness are there a lot of them) in such a way that felt digestible-- and let me bend them a little to help fit the narrative.
